Bitexco Financial Tower is a 68-story skyscraper on Hải Triều Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The building stands 262.5 meters tall and was the tallest building in Vietnam upon its completion in 2010. Its design, by American architect Carlos Zapata, draws inspiration from a blooming lotus bud, Vietnam’s national flower. The tower’s curved facade consists of 6,000 individual glass panels. Vietnamese company Bitexco Group developed the tower, which officially opened on October 31, 2010.
