Le Jardin

Le Jardin is a French bistro on Thái Văn Lung in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The restaurant operates inside the courtyard compound of the IDECAF French cultural institute. Guests dine beneath mature trees on an open-air garden terrace with tiled patio tables. A small enclosed dining room provides additional indoor seating with air-conditioning.

The kitchen prepares traditional French bistro food at accessible prices. Signature offerings include steak frites, hand-cut steak tartare, and rich duck confit with seasoned salad greens. Cooks also braise beef cheeks in red wine and bake classic French onion soup. The dessert board features chocolate mousse, apple tart, and caramelized crème brûlée. The bar pours house wine by the glass and carafe alongside bottled beers and espresso.

Le Jardin has welcomed diners in downtown Saigon for over two decades. The venue draws a steady following of French expatriates, office workers, and local students. Its quiet, tree-shaded courtyard provides an unhurried environment away from the surrounding city streets. The tables fill quickly during midday lunch service and evening dinner hours.

The property sits along Thái Văn Lung, just north of the Japanese Quarter on Lê Thánh Tôn. Staff offer straightforward table service in an unpretentious atmosphere. Simple wooden furniture, checkered accents, and potted plants define the outdoor dining area. The restaurant operates separate services for lunch and dinner every day of the week.
