Dala Story Coffee

Dala Story Coffee is a garden café on Xuân Thủy, Thảo Điền, Ho Chi Minh City, that serves specialty coffee. The establishment occupies a quiet alley lot set back from the main commercial thoroughfare. The property shares its compound with Ba Con Mực, an on-site dining venue. Founder Mộc Nhiên launched the branch following previous hospitality ventures in Đà Lạt and Nha Trang.

The venue features timber walls and wooden architectural elements from the Central Highlands. Tall shade trees canopy the outdoor gravel courtyard and garden terrace. Low wooden tables and matching benches fill the open-air yard beneath hanging planters. An enclosed indoor salon provides air-conditioning alongside broad glass windows overlooking the greenery.

The drinks program highlights coffee beans sourced directly from highland agricultural farms. Baristas pull espresso shots and brew traditional Vietnamese drip coffee using Robusta and Arabica beans. The beverage bar prepares cold brew infusions, matcha lattes, and fruit teas with tropical produce. Guests purchase sweet baked pastries, chiffon cakes, and seasonal desserts from the front counter.

The kitchen at Ba Con Mực supplies savory plates including grilled squid, grilled beef, and fresh salads. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas welcome remote workers, casual readers, and neighborhood groups. Natural wood paneling and warm lamplight shape the interior design. The café opens daily in the morning to serve breakfast beverages and light meals.
