Vintage Thông Thrift Shop

Vintage Thông Thrift Shop is a vintage clothing store on Lê Văn Sỹ, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. The boutique focuses on heritage menswear, vintage military apparel, and durable workwear. Founder Minh Hiển launched the brand in 2020 as an online store before opening physical premises. The retail room occupies a tucked-away townhouse inside alley 386 off Lê Văn Sỹ.

The clothing racks feature authentic military surplus from the mid-twentieth century. Racks hold United States military OG-107 sateen shirts alongside rugged M-65 field jackets. Shoppers find vintage French chore jackets, denim work jackets, and classic graphic t-shirts. The store curates heavy denim jeans from notable Japanese and American heritage labels. Local leather craftsmen supply handcrafted belts to accompany the raw denim trousers.

Vintage Thông provides on-site denim alterations using vintage sewing equipment. The workshop operates an authentic Union Special chainstitch sewing machine for denim hemming. Staff members perform authentic chainstitch hem finishes on heavy raw selvedge jeans. The shop also offers single-stitch shortening services for vintage t-shirt hems.

The founder chose the name Thông after the pine trees of Đà Lạt. The interior displays an industrial look with concrete accents, wooden display racks, and metal fixtures. District 3 hosts an active community of vintage fashion and raw denim enthusiasts. Vintage Thông participates regularly in local pop-up markets and community fashion collaborations across Saigon. Prices reflect the rarity, provenance, and condition of each individual garment.
