Saigon Skydeck

Saigon Skydeck is a public observation deck on the 49th floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower, with an entrance on Hồ Tùng Mậu Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The deck sits 178 meters above ground level. It provides panoramic, 360-degree views of the city and the Saigon River. High-speed elevators transport guests to the observation floor. The entire deck is enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass panels.

The Bitexco Financial Tower itself stands 262.5 meters tall with 68 floors. American architect Carlos Zapata designed the skyscraper. Its unique shape draws inspiration from a lotus bud, Vietnam’s national flower. The building officially opened on October 31, 2010. A prominent feature of the tower is its cantilevered helipad. The helipad extends from the 52nd floor.

Upon its completion, the Bitexco Financial Tower was the tallest building in Vietnam. The observation deck includes several amenities for visitors. Interactive touch-screen displays provide information on city landmarks. Long-range binoculars are available for closer viewing. The space also contains a small exhibition on the history of the Vietnamese traditional dress, the ao dai. A souvenir shop sells gifts and memorabilia related to the building.

The panoramic view includes major city landmarks. Visitors can identify the Saigon River bend, Bến Thành Market, and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The tower’s central location in the financial district places it at the heart of the city’s modern development. It remains one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most recognizable architectural icons.
