Angels’ Share

Angels’ Share is a whisky and cocktail bar on Pasteur Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The bar dedicates its focus to a large collection of whiskies. It stocks rare and premium bottles from Scotland, Japan, and the United States. The venue’s name refers to the portion of whisky that evaporates from casks during aging. This concept influences the bar’s interior design, which features a stepped ceiling.

The bar’s design won The Best F&B Design award at VMARK Vietnam Design Week. Its central feature is a large, blue dome inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s painting “Ascent of the Blessed”. The overall aesthetic also draws from the Chapel of the Holy Shroud in Torino. The space occupies the upper floor of a French colonial-era building. A curving staircase leads guests from the ground-floor entrance to the main bar area.

The menu offers a wide selection of single malt whiskies and other spirits. It also lists a focused selection of whisky-forward classic cocktails. Named offerings include the Penicillin, the Whisky Sour, and the Manhattan. Bartenders also prepare other classic cocktails like the rum-based Jungle Bird. The bar presents a sophisticated atmosphere with warm, dim lighting and sleek interior details.

Angels’ Share provides an intimate setting for patrons. It sits directly opposite the House of Merlin, another venue on Pasteur Street. The establishment caters to whisky connoisseurs and cocktail enthusiasts. The space is designed to create a refined drinking sanctuary away from the busy street outside. The bar operates daily from the early evening until late into the night.
